CEQA offers EQAs in Constitutional, Haemato-oncology Cytogenetics and Preimplantation diagnosis.

More information about this pilot EQA and a call for participation under 'Online EQA'. This EQA will involve the distribution of a DNA sample.

There are two Constitutional EQAs, one for prenatal (amniotic fluid) and one for postnatal (blood). The assessment is prospective and done online. Two EQA cases are available each year.

The Haemato-oncology Cytogenetics EQA includes ALL, AML, CML and lymphomas. Only 2 cases are available each year.

Pre-implantation diagnosis EQA is in two parts for 2009. A workup case scenario followed by  an online analysis.

Each participating laboratory will have a unique user name and password. The identity of the laboratory will only be known to the CEQA office. Laboratories will be informed which EQA cases to complete. The EQA cases will consist of a referral card and a series of images (metaphases and/or FISH). If additional studies are required before reporting the results, e g. prenatal bloods, FISH, the participants can select these options before reporting. There are more options/images than needed to complete the analysis. Please chose those tests that you would normally do in your laboratory.
